One of the easiest ways to ensure a speedier and more cost-effective move is to pack your items up in advance. The less work that needs to be done on moving day is the quicker and cheaper your move will be. But some boxes, especially dish barrels and wardrobes, are simply too large to fit in most cars. A standard wardrobe can even be difficult to fit into a full-sized SUV.
Luckily for you, many moving companies do offer free box delivery if you book your move with them. That means you can get all the boxes you need delivered to your door, at your convenience, without having to lift a finger.
How Far In Advance Should You Order Your Boxes?
The answer to this question can vary a bit. We personally recommend pacing yourself and taking at least 2-3 weeks to complete your packing. This will allow you plenty of time to pack a standard household/apartment, and if you need to order and additional supplies, you would still have time to do so.
Some people do prefer to simply do all of the packing at once to just get it over with. If that is your method, you might be better off ordering your supplies just a week before the move. You will be able to complete your packing without having piles of boxes cluttering your house for too long.
